Join Melodi each week, for the Cat's Eye on the Future Show, where she will
explore what the cards and runes have to say about the fast moving
world of current events and the energies affecting your future.

Melodi Grundy is an intuitive psychic who has trained in divination for over
30 years. Her chief specialty is PsyCards, an oracular card deck based on
archetypalimages, withwhich she has worked since the late 1980s.

Melodi holds a degree in Anthropology and History from the University of
Southern Mississippi. She was a founding member of the Denver Area
WiccanNetwork in the early1980s. Her training in Denver included
several different forms of divination as well as magical studies.

In 1989, she moved back to California and became apprenticed to Diana
Paxson while studying in a Pagan Clergy Training Program for the
Fellowship of the Spiral Path. After five years of study she was
certified as a Spiral Priestess andlegal Clergyperson, licensed by
the State of California, a certification she still holds to this day.

During this time period, Melodi was a member of Diana Paxson’s group
“Hrafnar” (“Ravens”), a group dedicated to the recovery of the historical
Norse method of trance-divination (“spae-work”) in which a seeress or seer
sits on a “High Seat”, enters a state of trance through means of chanting
and singing, and answers questions from a group of assembled people.

While Melodi does not use Norse Trance Work directly in her work as a
professional psychic reader, she does use runic divination and still
participatesin work-shops and occasional trance-sessions at
conferences and other Northern-Religious events.

This type of study has greatly enhanced her natural abilities for dream
work, dream interpretation, and the “intuitive flashes” that sometimes
occur during the processof an otherwise “typical” card reading.

Through Hrafnar, Melodi met internationally-known runemaster
and author KveldúlfR Gundarsson, marrying him in 1994 shortly
before his completion of his doctorate in Old Norse religious studies.

The couple then moved to Uppsala, Sweden, for KveldúlfR’s post-doctoral
research. In 1996, they moved to Ireland, renting a fourteenth-century
castle for a year before settling down in a 200 year old rectory where
KveldúlfR concentrated on his career as a researcher and author of
historical fiction, and Melodi privately continued her various
metaphysical studies as well as running a small hand weaving
business and doing occasional workshops with Diana at Atlantis
Book shop in London and the London Shamanic Society meeting.

In 2005, Melodi started doing readings part-time professional for the
Planet Starz Psychic network and was a featured reader on their live
radio show for several years. She still reads part-time at Starz when
she gets a chance but in 2009 she started her own reading company,
Melodi’s Psychic Readings, in Ireland.

Since that time she has been doing professional card and runestave
readings both in person, at various festivals, Psychic/Holistic Fairs
and workshops within Ireland (and the UK). She also does phone,
Skype, web, and e-mailreadings, as well as her “Card of the Day”
blog (ongoing since the latter part of 2011).

Melodi’s particular specialty beyond personal readings is in the realm of
current events, historical cycles, and how cards, runestaves, and other forms
of divination can display certain energies showing strongly in the cards or runes,
which indicates that certain events or types of event are much more likely
to occur at any given time. She has noticed the same factors hold true for
individual clients and that often different clients will experience the same
card draws during the same time period, leading her to conclude that every
day, week or month tends to have its own energy patterns which then
influences the most likely outcome or future for that time period.

Melodi is particularly well-known for her “Card of the Day” blog, in which
she does a short divination including both PsyCards and runestaves, and
evaluates the energies on both a personal level (how they may affect
individual lives) and an international/planetary level (how they may
show trends or major events in politics, major natural occurences, etc.).

Her show, “Cat’s Eye on the Future” explores her theory of
overall energy patterns and trends operating both in terms
of real-time current events and the lives of private individuals.

In addition to working as a Professional Psychic Reader, Melodi
also enjoys historical Viking costuming, weaving, spinning, knitting,
folk music, and various “prepping” skills like scratch cooking and canning.

Melodi has lived 17 ½ years in rural Ireland where she shares her life with
her husband, three dogs, two horses and a lots of indoor and outdoor cats.
